Bug Café
Local building firm, Taieri Beach School, has started construction of the Bug City Café.
It was important to ensure the nectar drinks on offer appealed to a wide variety of bugs and insects.
Property Consultant, Gordon Thompson, aka
Inspector Insector from Earthlore Wildlife
Gardens, designed the Bug City signs and the café furniture.
The children learnt a lot about soil preparation, planting the Alyssum plants with care so the roots are not damaged and watering the transplanted plants so they will survive the heat.
