When Shea the Sports Activator came we had a busy time practising high jump, discus throwing and the obstacle course.

Tiriti o Waitangi

We studied the Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) and looked at how our school values of whakaute (respect) and kawenga (responsibility) are important to ensure the Treaty's obligations are upheld by all.

Writing with a quill

Maddy found some feathers at home and we are using them as quills to do our writing.

Signing the Treaty

We went on a feather hunt to find feathers to use as quills like the Maori chiefs used to sign the Treaty but we didn't find any. We will look at home and hopefully find some.

Treaty of Waitangi

We looked at timelines to learn about Maori and Pakeha and the Treaty of Waitangi and then wrote our own timeline.
