Lathe Work

We all enjoyed using the lathe and now have an understanding how wooden furniture legs can be shaped using adult lathe machine.

This 4 in 1 workshop for kids has been so much fun to use, we learnt how to change the parts around to create a different tool. We all had a turn at using the sander, drill press, jigsaw and lathe and always remembered safety first when using these tools.

Roasting Marshmellows

We all had such fun at the end of the term. iI was a very chilly day but that didn't stop us heading outdoors. We all dressed warmly and had blankets to keep us toasty in our tent.

We chatted about fire safety, shared camping stories and just how delicious each marshmallow was 😶😶😶

 Hockey

On Tuesday 6th July TBS children were invited to join Tokoiti to play in a hockey tournament at Milton primary school.Chrissie and Donna took us there.

Hockey was fun but I was shy.

Maddy scored a goal in one game and blocked people in other games. 

Our team scored seven goals.

Ryker tried to get a goal but it was too muddy.

Reina got two goals and passed the ball a lot of times.

Delrio got two goals.One in the third game and one in the second last game.He defended the goal and passed to his teammates. 

 We all were having fun.

Frosty Mornings

At Taieri Beach School we enjoy frosty mornings. We go out and create art on our field just using our boots and imagination. Maddy, Ryker and Reina created giant faces, jelly beans and flowers before the sun arrived and melted them all away.

Ryker made monster foot prints out of cardboard so it would look like a monster had been walking on our field but they didn't work so well so we need to think of another way to make them.
